TΔS (Oxford, UK) has successfully completed a program of process development work with iPRD at Leeds University (UK). This programme was part-funded by a grant from the Technology Strategy Board, an agency of the UK Government Department of Business.

TΔS (Oxford, UK) and ISIS, the technology transfer group of the University of Oxford have concluded an agreement by which TΔS has been granted an exclusive licence to the portfolio of patents and associated know-how that represent important intellectual property concerning the use of nutritional supplements based on ketone body metabolism. These relate in particular to the use of ketones in improving physical performance and mental function. The terms of the licence are not disclosed. These patents complement other intellectual property of TΔS and the patent family licensed in 2009 from BTG Limited (London, UK).

TΔS (Oxford, UK) and BTG (London, UK) have concluded an agreement by which TΔS has been granted an exclusive licence to the portfolio of over a dozen patents that represent the primary intellectual property concerning the use of nutritional supplements based on ketone bodies. The terms of the licence are not disclosed. These patents complement other intellectual property of TΔS.

The portfolio of patents derive from the work of a range of groups and the earliest were assigned to BTG in 1997. BTG further enhanced the intellectual property and developed the technology through KetoCytonyx, a joint venture of BTG, Veech Properties and Shimizu Pharmaceuticals (later Ajinomoto) created for the purpose. BTG is pleased to license the patents to TΔS, which BTG believes has the appropriate team and strategy to secure timely and effective development and commercialisation of these assets.
